DR. PAMELA ROBERTS
Adrienne currently stars as Black Cindy on the critically acclaimed, hit Netflix series Orange is the New Black. She celebrated with the entire cast when they won the 2015 SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series. Additionally, Adrienne personally earned an NAACP Image Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series and was awarded the Vanguard Award at Essence Magazine’s Black Women In Hollywood Luncheon. Other TV appearances include Blue Bloods and 30 Rock. Adrienne’s extensive theatre credits include Milk Like Sugar (LaJolla Playhouse, Dir. Rebecca Taichman), The Women and War Project (7 Stages Theatre), Ethel Sings (Dir. Will Pomerantz), Milk Like Sugar (Playwrights Horizons, Dir. Rebecca Taichman), Tearing Down the Walls (Audelco Award nomination, Dir. Daniel Beaty); Suzan Lori-Parks’ 365 Plays/365 Days (Public Theatre), The 24 Hour Plays (Lucille Lortel), All’s Well That Ends Well and The Private Life of the Master Race (59E59). This spring you can see her at the Actors Theatre of Louisville in the world premiere of Colman Domingo’s play Dot, part of the Humana Festival of New American Plays.
